Petit Minor Cosmetic Procedures Facial Injection Botox Dermal Fillers Treatment

Medically reviewed by Dr. Ju-Chan Kim, Medical Director, IBON Plastic Surgery — trained in Plastic Surgery, Dong-A University Hospital; board-certified plastic surgeon.

Turn back skin time, restore lost volume, and soften wrinkles — without surgery. IBON Plastic Surgery's petit procedure menu covers Dermal Fillers, Botox, Skin Boosters, and Rejuran & Rejuran HB, each addressing a different underlying cause of aging or skin fatigue, tailored to individual skin condition and needs, with every treatment personally handled by the Medical Director.

What Are IBON's Petit (Minor) Procedures?

IBON Plastic Surgery offers four distinct non-surgical treatments under this category, each working through a different mechanism.

Dermal Fillers are a simple injection treatment that improves wrinkles and restores volume using hyaluronic acid, a substance similar to the body's own tissue. Compared with implant surgery, fillers involve far less post-treatment swelling or pain, and produce a natural look immediately after treatment. Because filler types and treatment areas are diverse, and the appropriate filler differs by purpose and desired duration, a consultation with the medical team before treatment is essential — filler longevity varies significantly depending on which product is used.

Botox uses a minute, body-safe amount of botulinum toxin to reduce muscle activity and ease wrinkles. Injected locally, it temporarily paralyzes or relaxes the muscle at the injection site, reducing wrinkles or shrinking overdeveloped muscle — used for both facial concerns and body concerns such as a square jaw or calf muscle reduction. The treatment is relatively safe with a lasting effect, but it is not permanent, so periodic re-treatment is needed to maintain results.

Skin Boosters inject nutrient ingredients directly into the skin to build healthier skin from within, rather than working on the surface. IBON offers this through five distinct sub-types, each targeting a different skin concern (detailed below), rather than a single generic formula applied to every patient.

Rejuran & Rejuran HB are injection treatments built around PN (polynucleotide) ingredients that improve damaged dermis and thin, aged skin, increasing overall skin thickness and elasticity — described as a new-concept skin regeneration injection. Rejuran HB Plus adds hyaluronic acid and a local anesthetic ingredient to the original Rejuran Healer formula, specifically to reduce the discomfort associated with the original PN-only version while adding a hydration ("Hydro Booster") effect.

  • Dermal Fillers: no separate recovery period; immediate return to daily activities
  • Botox: effect appears after 1–2 days; no recovery period needed; immediate return to daily activities
  • Skin Boosters: treatment time about 10 minutes; local/topical anesthesia; no suture removal; immediate return to daily activities
  • Rejuran & Rejuran HB: treatment time about 10–20 minutes; numbing cream anesthesia; no suture removal; immediate return to daily activities; visible effects typically from about 2 weeks after treatment

Advanced Petit Procedures — A Personalized Approach to Skin Concerns

Patients considering these treatments often have overlapping but distinct goals: restoring volume that's been lost with age, softening wrinkles caused by repeated muscle movement, improving skin that feels dry or lifeless despite an expensive skincare routine, or addressing damaged, thinning skin at a deeper structural level. These are different problems requiring different mechanisms of action, and choosing the wrong treatment for the wrong concern is unlikely to produce a satisfying result — for instance, Botox relaxes muscle-driven wrinkles but does nothing for lost volume, while filler restores volume but doesn't address a hyperactive muscle.

At IBON Plastic Surgery, every petit procedure case is assessed personally by the Medical Director, who evaluates the individual's specific symptoms, muscle development (for Botox), skin condition, and desired outcome before recommending a treatment or combination. The clinic emphasizes that even when patients select the same product, results differ significantly depending on who performs the treatment — a point specifically raised regarding both filler and Botox selection, where consultation with the medical team, not the product name alone, is presented as what determines outcome quality.

Dr. Ju-Chan Kim, Medical Director

Dr. Ju-Chan Kim, Medical Director
Board-Certified Plastic Surgeon in Korea

Dr. Ju-Chan Kim, Medical Director of IBON Plastic Surgery, personally oversees every filler, Botox, skin booster, and Rejuran treatment performed at the clinic. He completed his training in Plastic Surgery at Dong-A University Hospital and previously served as director at Zenith Plastic Surgery Clinic, Haneul Plastic Surgery Clinic, and The Goun Plastic Surgery Clinic. He is a member of the Korean Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeons, the Korean Association for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, the Korean Cleft and Craniofacial Association, and the Korean Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Clinics. Under IBON's single representative director system, his role at consultation is to select the appropriate product, dosage, and treatment area based on individual skin condition and muscle development, using a fine cannula technique intended to minimize pain, swelling, and bruising compared with standard needle injection.

A closer look at how these treatments differ in practice:

Dermal Fillers are selected based on the treatment area and desired duration, since different filler products last for different lengths of time. IBON uses Epitique, Restylane, and Juvelook, applying a fine cannula technique rather than a standard needle to reduce pain, swelling, and bruising. Common treatment areas include the forehead, glabella (between the eyebrows), under-eye wrinkles and aegyo-sal, nasolabial folds, nose bridge, lips, sunken cheeks, and chin tip.

Botox treatment starts with an assessment of the patient's specific symptoms and muscle development, since the appropriate product, dosage, and injection site depend on these factors. IBON uses two Korean-manufactured products: Liztox, which takes effect after 1–2 days and lasts about 3–6 months, and Nabota, which also takes effect after 1–2 days but lasts somewhat longer, about 4–6 months. Beyond facial wrinkles, Botox at IBON is also used for square jaw reduction (masseter muscle), calf muscle reduction, trapezius muscle reduction, and hyperhidrosis (excessive sweating) of the hands or underarms.

Skin Boosters are offered in five distinct forms, each suited to a different concern: Water Glow Injection injects hyaluronic acid into the dermis to maintain moisture in dry skin; Fillorga 135/Cytocare combines hyaluronic acid with vitamins and antioxidant ingredients for regeneration and moisture; Collagen Booster injects peptide-based ingredients to promote collagen synthesis, improving elasticity and fine wrinkles; Rejuran Healer (DNA injection) promotes cell regeneration to improve fine wrinkles, elasticity, and wound healing; and Exosome Skin Booster targets pores, acne, and other skin troubles for clearer, cleaner skin.

Rejuran & Rejuran HB differ specifically in pain level and effect balance. Rejuran (the original Healer) has a comparatively higher pain level but a stronger skin-regeneration effect, and is more suited to pore improvement, elasticity, redness, and acne scarring. Rejuran HB Plus contains a local anesthetic, reducing pain by about 53% compared with the original formula, and shifts the balance toward stronger hydration and moisture effects — though its regeneration effect is comparatively lower than the original. Both are administered through a four-step process: a 1:1 consultation matched to skin condition, cleansing followed by topical numbing cream, sterilization and injection of the chosen formula, and a cooling/finishing step. Common treatment areas include overall facial elasticity, under-eye, mouth area, neck, V-line, the backs of the hands, and the collarbone area.

Who Is a Good Candidate for Petit Procedures?

For Dermal Fillers:

  • Wants natural-looking wrinkle improvement
  • Wants fast, simple volume improvement
  • Has difficulty undergoing fat grafting or obtaining sufficient donor fat
  • Wants to look more refined without surgery
  • Wants dark circle improvement

For Botox:

  • Wants facial wrinkle improvement
  • Has a square jaw appearance due to overdeveloped masseter muscle
  • Experiences excessive sweating (hyperhidrosis) of the hands or underarms
  • Has overdeveloped calf or trapezius muscles
  • Wants results within a short treatment time

For Skin Boosters:

  • Skin feels flaky or dry despite using expensive skincare products
  • Skin elasticity has decreased and feels weak
  • Complexion looks dull and lacks vitality
  • Skin function has declined, causing redness or blotchiness
  • Persistent sense of dryness

For Rejuran & Rejuran HB:

  • Wants damaged skin regeneration
  • Skin looks rough or lifeless
  • Skin elasticity has decreased due to aging
  • Wants improved moisture and skin tone
  • Concerned about wrinkles or pigmentation spots

What to Expect: Procedure, Recovery, and Results Timeline

Treatment Anesthesia Treatment Time Downtime
Dermal Fillers Topical numbing (as needed) Brief, in-office None; immediate return to activities
Botox None typically required Brief, in-office None; immediate return to activities
Skin Boosters Local/topical About 10 minutes None; immediate return to activities
Rejuran & Rejuran HB Numbing cream About 10–20 minutes None; immediate return to activities

Post-treatment care across these procedures: mild bruising, swelling, redness, an "embossed" texture, or nighttime tenderness at injection sites can occur and typically resolves within days; saunas, public baths, jjimjilbang, alcohol, and smoking should be avoided for about a week following treatment; sufficient water intake and home skincare for moisture and recovery support is recommended; and sunscreen should be applied before going outside, particularly after skin booster and Rejuran treatments. Complications such as bleeding, infection, inflammation, or nerve damage can occur depending on the individual, so careful adherence to post-treatment guidance is advised.

Why Choose IBON Plastic Surgery for Petit (Minor) Procedures

IBON Plastic Surgery For Petit Minor Procedures Clinic

  • Single representative director system: every filler, Botox, skin booster, and Rejuran treatment is personally assessed and performed by the Medical Director, without proxy administration by other staff
  • Consultation-led product selection: the clinic emphasizes that outcomes differ significantly by who performs the treatment, not just which product is chosen, making individualized assessment central to every treatment
  • Fine cannula technique: used for filler and Botox administration specifically to reduce pain, swelling, and bruising compared with standard needle injection
  • Breadth within each treatment category: five distinct skin booster sub-types and two Botox/two filler product lines allow the specific formula to be matched to the patient's skin condition and goals
  • Realistic goal-setting: the clinic's approach is built around setting achievable expectations for wrinkle, volume, or skin-quality improvement, rather than promising a specific result

Ready to Discuss Your Petit Procedure Options?
